John Lane II | Co-Executive Director
John is a 2004 graduate of Artios Conservatory and attended North Greenville University to study Theater and Georgia State University to study Economics. Having grown up in Artios, gone to college, and returned to Artios, John has seen the need for a program that teaches the arts and academics with in creative and integrative approach with a strong emphasis on a biblical worldview. Having been the recipient of such an education while at Artios, he knows and understands the value that it holds. He views it as a privilege to be a part of Artios and to work towards the goal of helping parents raise educated, equipped, and elevated servant leaders of the Kingdom. On April 3rd, 2010 John married the love of his life, Windy Thompson-Lane, who also teaches and choreographs with Artios Academies. John is currently the Director of Development for Artios and in addition to teaching several classes (Worldview, Government and Economics, and Film/Video) at the Artios Academies of Gwinnett and Johns Creek, he is also the creator of the Artios Home Companion Series, director of the Artios Academies in Johns Creek Arts and History and High School Conservatory programs, and co-directs the Artios Outpost Summer Camps and Internship Program with his wife, Windy, during the summers.
Windy Lane | Co-Executive Director
Windy graduated from Grace College of Divinity’s School of Worship program with a certificate in Dance Leadership in 2009. Windy has been dancing for over 15 years and has been teaching dance, choreography, and drama at camps, studios, churches, and professional youth theater organizations for over 12 years. She has taught for Creagious Kids, Christian Youth Theater (CYT), and various church camp programs around the country. In addition to teaching for Artios Academies and directing camps, Windy has choreographed multiple productions including; The Sound of Music, The Wiz, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Pirates of Penzance, Pilgrim, Alice Through the Looking Glass, The Little Princess, Robinhood, White Christmas, and more. This will be Windy’s fifth year directing the Artios Outpost Summer Camps and Internship Program, along with her husband, John Lane.
Windy has a passion for the Outpost program because of the experience and exposure it provides students to further their art and the gifts God has given them. She ultimately desires that the Lord be glorified through all that is done at the Outpost and that is what fuels her passion for her students and the arts!
